Asus Bamboo Laptop Computer

Originally introducing a prototype of their Bamboo laptop last year, Asus has now launched their environmentally friendly computer as part of Taiwan’s IT Exhibition. The laptops shell features real bamboo paneling as part of Asus’ effort to become a more “green” product manufacturer while sporting a 12.1-inch screen, Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor, and Microsoft’s Windows Vista Operating System. The company is scheduled to launch their bamboo series in the US with a retail price of approximately $1800 USD.
